The one where I almost feel bad

So last night when my dad came home from work I filled him in on the saga. In case you didn't know my dad is so a big ol' papa bear and if you mess with his cub, namely me, you're gonna get it. He said I need the name of the person you talked to and I need the number I need to call. I got it for him and gave it to him. He called today and talked to someone and guess what? I have a room! Now it only took them a month to get it for me! My dad said something about getting out papers to me by the end of the week, I thought I was done filling out papers-I sent in the only two things they had females living at the inn fill out together. Hopefully this is almost over. But tomorrow I have to call the help desk to find out how to get a freaking groupwise email. I emailed the person who told me I needed one to find out what it was cause no one tells you these things, i swear they expect you to know it all cause I searched on the website for forever and a day and could not find anything unless it was related to BYU Law-but I digress-and this is what she said "I believe the NET ID and password from BeSmart.com is the one you'll use. Once that NET ID is established a groupwise account is set up for you. If you have further questions, please contact our Help Desk at 801-524-8119." What does that do me? So I have to call 'the Help Desk' tomorrow and find out how to get one cause I want to be done, like yesterday!

OUCH! You might suggest a few ways (in an honest and sincere manner) on how they can make this process a bit more user friendly. Maybe even type up somethings you've learned so they can ask that their tech guys refresh their website. You know, just to make things more user friendly, help to prepare those in attendance and overall, to avoid lengthy phone calls they have to engage in, thereby freeing up more of their work time for more pressing things. Stressing these points might make things more enjoyable all around for EVERYONE, not just the incoming freshman. Who knows, just a thought. Maybe if you do the work for them they will be more likely to implement something rather than have to do it themselves. Just some random thoughts may not even be worth doing!

Hey ELLIE!
Sorry it has taken so long to comment on here, been a little busy with the baby and all.
I am so excited for you and your big exciting adventure ahead. Housing is only your first big hurddle to jump college is fun, but you are also an adult(so weird...your an adult).
I wish you were coming to Utah, it would be nice to have you around. You could still change, we won't be there for another year!
Take care and good luck!
Amy
