The one where I salute our troops!

Often we hear people not supporting our troops at war, and that makes me mad. They put their lives on hold to serve our country and defend our freedom. When young men, right out of high school, sign up to defend your freedom of speech and you take it and show you have no support for them...that's just not right! My friend Caleb is off to Marine Boot Camp in a couple weeks, my friend Jason is going to ranger school in August and living in a ward that has half of Fort Benning in its boundaries has made me support and respect our military even more. I don't want any of my friends, like Brother Shillig, Mike Arner, Brother Israel, Brother Harper, to get deployed but if that's what happens then I will support them in whatever way they want me to. And to those civilians that think we should pull out now, we're in now and if we pull out that will make them think they have won. We're in and like it or not we have to stay until we get the job done, that's the way its got to be. And the sooner you support out troops the better because they need all the support they can get. Sorry that turned into a rant but it needed to be said. We'll I'm off to camp tomorrow, I'll be back saturday night

The one where I am done!

So last night I had my graduation ceremony! I was in and out in an hour and a half, and there were 249 graduates. I don't really miss it, I'm really glad its all done. I had a BBQ this afternoon, it was really fun. The Johnsons, Evans, Shilligs, Murphys, Pews, Frasers, and the Hannas came. I really love these families, I am really gonna miss them. Well I'm off to write thank you letters!

The one where I keep repeating 9 days...9 days...9 days!

So ummmm... yeah graduation is in nine days and I can't wait. I am so ready to go to college all I need to do is write that admissions essay and get accepted. No big deal, yeah right! The problem is I just don't know what to write about, I have what the title needs to be (What sets you apart from other applicants, based on unique educational or life experiences, personal or family circumstances, obstacles overcome and/or achievements?) but I have no idea where to start. I don't want to sound cockey. Grandma and Grandpa Murphy get here today! I have my last practice today for Powder Puff and then the game is tomorrow. Grandpa is coming a week early so he can see my game. Well gtg, the bell rang for second block so later loves!

The one where I went to the temple and Sister Shillig loved hanging out with me!

Okay so today was my last temple trip as a young woman D:! It was really cool cause with 9 youth we did 471 names! I did 35 baptisms and 6 confirmations. And the guy who confirmed me kept calling me Sister Griffin or Griffith (i can't remember which one) and so after he was done he asked if I was dating anyone with that last name and I said no and then one of the other guys said now you know who to look for. (nuh, nuh, nuh, nuh, nuh, nuh, nuh, nuh!) We went to the bookstore and then ate at none other than the amazingly delicious Chic-fil-a! I rode up with sister shillig, she's the new young women's leader and def one of my top faves! I stayed awake the whole time up there and we talked but I couldn't quite stay awake on the way back and I'm pretty sure I was asleep for most of the ride. I love sister shillig, she kept me laughing with all her stories. When we got back I took the waltons home, went home to straighten my hair and then I went back to the church to go to Nick's baptism and then went across the hall to Camille's reception. So today was pretty busy.
